Horseshoe Hours
A private time-tracking app that Horseshoe Ventures LLC uses to keep accurate, contemporaneous records of the work done on its short-term rental properties.
What it's for
Owners of short-term rentals must be able to show how many hours they personally worked on each property, and how that compares with everyone else who worked on it, such as cleaners and contractors. Horseshoe Hours keeps that log: who did what, when, for how long, at which property, with photos and receipts attached as evidence. It produces a yearly summary and an export package for the business's tax advisor.
Log hoursRecord each task with start and end times, the property, and a short description.
Attach evidenceAdd photos, receipts and screenshots to each entry.
Import from Google CalendarWith the owner's permission, read calendar events (read-only) so work already on the calendar can be logged instead of retyped.
Track every personEach cleaner or vendor logs their own time, so hours per person can be compared.
Export for the CPADownload a complete package of the log, summaries and receipts.
Invite-onlyOnly people the owner invites can sign in. Each sees only what their role allows.
How Google data is used
- Sign in with Google shares your name and email so the app can confirm you were invited.
- Google Calendar (read-only) is used only when the owner chooses to import. The app lists events in the date range picked and saves only the events the owner chooses to log. It never creates, changes or deletes calendar events.
- Google data isn't sold, shared with third parties or used for advertising. See the privacy policy.
